Construction for our church building remodel has finally begun! When you arrive at church, you will see that trees and shrubs have been removed near the parking lot (as required by current county mandates), and there are holes and mounds of dirt, as well as large equipment and roped-off areas. The areas of work are blocked off by barriers or fencing, and it is extremely important for parishioners and visitors not to cross these barriers (even when the construction workers are absent). It will be important for parents to watch their children carefully during this phase in order to avoid any unnecessary accidents.
Local pandemic restrictions have recently been lifted, and we anticipate a gradual return to normal activities.
Father Matthew has shared with us a very thoughtful and well-stated homily on the pandemic situation from Elder Zacharias of St. John the Baptist Monastery, Essex, England, which you may read here.
